Jay Bhattacharya

Jay Bhattacharya is a Professor of Health Policy and Economics at Stanford University and is the director of the Stanford Center on the Demography of Health and Aging. He is also a research associate at the National Bureau of Economics Research, a research associate at Acumen, a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, at the Hoover Institute, and at the Stanford Freeman Spogli Institute. Dr. Bhattacharya holds an M.D. and Ph.D. both from Stanford University. Dr. Bhattacharya has published a significant amount of research in fields such as the economics of healthcare regarding at risk populations. His research has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, Medical Care, and the Journal of Health Economics. Dr. Bhattacharya also holds a patent from 2008 along with Michael Schoenbaum, Mark Spranca, and Neeraj Sood.
